At Duluth Archaeology Center, we specialize in archaeological survey and consulting services. We are dedicated to providing reasonably priced services for all types of archaeological and historical studies. This includes, Phase IA Literature Review, Phase I Archaeological Survey, Phase II Archaeological Excavation, Phase III Data Mitigation, Archaeological Monitoring, and Artifact analysis.
Archaeological Survey and Excavation
We conduct Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III excavations to the Archaeological Standards of the MN State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO). Reports are produced for all projects and artifacts are curated to MN Historical Society regulations
Phase IA Literature Review
Phase IA Literature Review of existing documentation of prehistoric and historic concerns in a project area.
Artifact Analysis
We analyze lithics, ceramics, faunal, and historic items.
Archaeological Monitoring
Monitoring of sites during the construction phase to protect archaeologically sensitive areas and recovering artifacts.
