The Northern Lakes Archaeological Society (NLAS) is a community of professional and avocational archaeologists that meet on the third Monday of each month (Sept - May) to discuss regional and international topics in archaeology. NLAS also holds talks during the MN and WI archaeology weeks each year.
The members include scholars and collectors who have worked in areas as diverse as Minnesota, Belize, Africa, and the Middle East as well as individuals with a general interest in archaeology. The monthly meeting often include educational talks and presentations.
Most meetings are held at the Superior Public Library in Superior, WI. All meetings are free and open to the public.
